Like all great things in life, humans are constantly evolving. We are always wanting to learn more and be better. We do these things through a process called personal development. The act of personal development can improve self-awareness, and help us to reach our intentions and life aspirations.

However, personal development doesn't just magically come to us. Like the famous artist, Andy Warhol once said, "They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."

I've always been a person who wanted to experience the personal development process, but I've always felt like everything in my life needed to align just right. I needed to be in the perfect headspace, with my fancy laptop in the most picture-perfect setting you see in all the movies. But that mindset definitely took a turn at the beginning of 2017.

Nothing bad or catastrophic happened in my life, rather, I just started having more meaningful conversations with the people around me.  I realized that I too, no matter what mindset I'm in, can participate in the personal development process. I actually finally realized that I've been doing personal development for quite some time now, I just didn't even know what I was doing was personal development.

So the title of this podcast is, "It's Time For A Change." You're probably wondering, what the heck am I rambling on about personal development for, isn't this supposed to be the other Mother's Day special episode? This is where the change comes in.

I feel like this podcast has had A LOT to do with me finally discovering my personal development journey. So I want to take all of you along with me for the ride. Now, I don't want to bore you with episodes where it's just me "finding myself" or anything like that. This podcast will still have just as many inspirational and empowering stories as it's always had, rather, they will focus a lot more on topics like, what are our values, and make sure we are asking the hard questions so we know we are ALL of us are living our life to the fullest and getting the most out of life that WE want. Not what we THINK we should do or what others TELL us we should do. But simply what WE want.

My first guest on this new journey is none other than the owner of Chelsea's Boutique herself, Chelsea Tracy. Chelsea has been a mentor to me and has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me to see that I'm worth experiencing the best life possible.

Chelsea and I talk about what exactly personal development is and why it's beneficial. We talk about what the podcast will look like going forward and what we hope you all get out of it is well. If you're ready to start living the life you've always wanted to live, this episode is for you!
