"Whoa." I literally said that out loud to myself as I was reflecting back on the interview in today's episode. I was left feeling like I had a major personal breakthrough. Let me explain briefly why.
I don't know about any of you out there, but with the start of each new year, I feel like I've got a clean slate. A new start. A fresh beginning. And every year I tell myself, this is going to be my year! I'm going to do X, Y, and Z. Can you guess how many years I've made that year, "my year?" NEVER! Shocking, right? Well as I've now found myself in the middle of March already, with the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year already on the back-burner, I asked myself, "why?" Why is it that we are SO motivated at the beginning of the year, yet after only a few short months, we find ourselves out of that motivated mindset.
Enter today's guest, Rebecca Wiener McGregor. I could spew off a VERY long list of amazing things to describe her, but I'll stick with just a few short words and let you get to know her in the episode. I think the best words to describe Rebecca are loving, fantastic, uplifting, and overall, ah-freaking-mazing. Rebecca specializes in business coaching, she is an expert hypnotist and the definition of a positive person.
Throughout the episode, Rebecca answers my question as to why we don't follow through with our goals. She explains (well, she explains a lot of things) but she talks about how one of the biggest things that hold us back is fear. And not that we should ignore that fear and make it go away, but rather be aware of that fear. The overall theme of this episode is awareness. Being aware of your vision and goals and practicing self-love and gratitude. Let me tell you. After this interview, I was aware!
She also gives some really great self-love and gratitude exercises that we can put in to practice to help us to reach our overall vision of what we want out of our life.
I could continue telling you why I am so excited for you all to listen to this episode, but I think it's better if I stop rambling now and have you just go ahead and click the play button and experience this for yourself. I am very confident that at the end of this episode you will be feeling the exact "whoa" feeling as I did.
