So far in 2017, we have brought you new episodes with emotional stories and thought-provoking questions. However, for the next few episodes, we are changing directions a bit. We can definitely assure you these next few episodes will not lack any touching stories and inspirational messages, but rather, they will focus on celebrating motherhood.
As hard as it is to believe, Mother's Day is just around the corner. Many of you reading this are a mother or plan on being a mother or have a mom that you love and adore unconditionally. We think it's important to take some time to truly celebrate mom and motherhood.
To kick off this mini-series we are talking to soon-to-be first time mom, and my good friend, Allyssa Carey. In today's episode, we focus on the topic of first-time motherhood.
Allyssa and her husband, Bryan, are expecting their first child, a girl, who they have decided to name Margot. Allyssa is 34 weeks pregnant and she opens up about what her experience has been like so far.
Allyssa answers questions like what she's looking forward to most with Margot, what keeps her up at night when it comes to motherhood, and what she hopes for most for her daughter. Allyssa also addresses pregnancy body image issues, the chance of post-partum depression, as well as how we should take a more positive approach to pregnancy, and of course, talks Beyonce. Also, listen to what exactly Taco Bell has to do with this story.
Be sure to stay tuned to future episodes of this podcast because we will follow up with Allyssa in a few months to see if her predictions came true and what life looks like after Margot is here.
