3 Ways To Wear Denim

3 Ways To Wear Denim
Posted on
If you're anything like us, you live in your favorite pair of denim jeans.
{ You know, the ones I'm talking about! The ones you wear until there are so many holes in them it becomes unacceptable to wear them out in public.¬†ūüėČ }

But sometimes it can be hard to know how to wear your fav skinnies for different occasions other than just casual. Like the million-year-old question, "can jeans REALLY be dressy?!"

The answer is YES! And we'll prove it!

Today we're showing you 3 easy ways to wear denim for different occasions with our incredibly soft & comfy "Berkley" high-waisted skinny jeans we're currently living in!

Look #1 - Denim + Casual
The casual + denim look is probably the most common (and the easiest) denim look. For an effortless look, pair a trendy top, like this ivory tank with floral embroidery (a HUGE spring trend) and add a unique element, like this light-wash distressed denim jacket. Finish the look off with fun colored cutout heeled sandals.
By adding in unique trends, and textures you're taking a few simple pieces and combining them to create the ultimate casually trendy look.
Fashion Hack: Tuck in a small portion of the front of your shirt into the front of your jeans to add an extra element of cool to take your casual look to the next level.

Look #2 - Denim + Going Out
The denim + going out look is easily one of the most fun looks to experiment with because this is where your unique style can really be highlighted!
Have an upcoming girls night? Date night? Or maybe a concert with friends? The key to the denim + going out look is to have one "wow" piece that speaks to your personal style.
For example, Chelsea loves off the shoulder tops. Not only is this a super fun and flattering trendy top that speaks to her style, but the unique color really makes it pop.
To finish the look off, pair your denim with wedges or some pair of heels to dress the look up a little more. But keep in mind, let the key piece (like the red top) do the talking. These black wedges are perfect for this look because they add something a little extra, without being too much.

Look #3 - Denim + Work
The denim + work look can be one of the hardest looks to put together because everyone has their own interpretation of what exactly business casual means. We're here to tell you, putting together a great look for work with jeans does not have to be hard. In fact - it can even be (dare we say it) FUN!
The key to the denim + work look is all about the top, shoes, and accessories. To create a great look, go for a top that is in the fabric family of a satin, chiffon, silk, or even chambray as these give off a dressier vibe. Even if it's not one of these types of materials if it's a button up or has some sort of collar, both of those styles also give off a dressy vibe.
A great pointed toe flat, wedge, or some sort of heel is a great shoe option for a denim + work look and fun statement accessories are always a must.
Fashion Hack: When in doubt, if you're still not sure if it looks dressy enough, finish the look off with a blazer and/or a statement necklace. Both of these are unique elements that can really pull an outfit together and take it to the next business casual level.
