5 Unique Ways to Wear a Blanket Scarf
Posted on

Blanket scarves are an essential winter accessory up here in the tundra. When I first began wearing them, though, I thought they were a bit overwhelming. I'm only 5'4" and these babies are nearly as long as I am tall - it's a lot of fabric. Once I began looking for ways to tie them, though, I fell in love with their versatility and their added warmth. Find a blanket scarf in a plaid pattern to add a pop to your solid black outfit or find a solid blanket scarf to wear out over your dressy date-night attire.

The pretzel, photographed above, ended up being my favorite way to tie the scarf. I felt like it was a really easy way to control all of the fabric but I also love that it is more unique than just a knot in front. You can watch me do this in our video below but there's also a step-by-step here:

Here's a little trick I learned when figuring out how to tie a blanket scarf...

In the photo above, you can see me tieing the ends of the scarf together. In doing so, I created an infinity scarf, or, a scarf that's just a big oval. There are a couple of knots in our video below that showcase tieing the ends together first. It's also a great way to double the use of your scarf. You've now created a blanket scarf AND an infinity scarf for yourself. It's like a trendy all-in-one.

Check out the video below for more blanket scarf tieing ideas!

My face in these still frames though...
