Maybe you've seen our recent job posting for a Design & Content Manager and are wondering, "where is Ajla going?!" or maybe you're just now hearing that something is changing. Yes, there are some things that will be changing for me and for Chelsea's, so I just wanted to take a few moments to explain what's to come and why it's happening.
First, I have to say that I'm so thankful for my time here at Chelsea's. It's been absolutely wonderful getting to know the women here and seeing the store grow. I've had the opportunity to be a part of something bigger as we've all worked to empower and uplift the women in our community. I've been here through sold out empowerment events, fashion markets, store remodels, many transitions, probably over 100 photoshoots, and so much more. Every new season has come with its share of challenges and opportunities, and each and every change has propelled Chelsea's towards more and more growth. At the end of the day, that's what change is necessary for, and in this season, there is yet another change (and opportunity for growth) that is about to happen at Chelsea's.
The reason why things will be changing around here is because I've decided to take the leap towards starting my own branding & design business: Palm & Poplar. I've always, for as long as I can remember, loved all things creative, but I've especially loved design and photography. For years now, I've spent many hours in my free time creating designs for fun. Recently though, I began to feel a tug towards creating a design based business and making what I absolutely love doing a part of my daily life. I wanted to be able to share my design skills with other businesses to both fulfill my love of design and create something beautiful and authentic for the businesses working with me. I absolutely can't wait to turn this page of my life, and begin writing the story of this new journey. I hope you'll follow along with me.
What does this mean for my role at Chelsea's? It means that I will be stepping out of my current position and letting someone else take my place. I've had such a great time over this past year watching the business grow and getting to know the women working here. I'm excited to see how this change propels Chelsea's forward even more.
As for who we're looking for to fill the role of the Design & Content Manager, we are looking for someone who aligns well with the Chelsea's brand and values and has experience with design and creating videos. This person should be creative, yet responsible enough to complete tasks with little to no supervision. If this sounds like you or someone you know, head over to our page here to read the full description and apply!
Whoever you are, I'm looking forward to meeting you!
All the best,
