Amy Hoback has been a long-time friend of Chelsea's and an involved member of our boutique family. Amy is a wife of 24 years, she's a mother to four children and she's a successful businesswoman and female entrepreneur that's quite familiar with this current podcast theme: failure.

"Failure means growth. We cannot grow without failing. Failure is a positive thing when you are a person that's always in forward motion."

In this episode, Amy discusses how she found herself so wrapped up in a difficult situation of failure that she nearly lost a lot of people and things that were (are) the most important to her. When the car-wreck situation resolved, Amy came to the necessary but difficult realization that pain heals and that you don't have to sacrifice yourself to mend those relationships.

Amy also addresses the dynamic that is created when being in business with your spouse. Her love for her husband (and his love for her) is immeasurable and apparent but she does touch on a level of vulnerability that many of us can relate to - whether you work with your spouse or not.

We're incredibly thankful for the love that Amy shared with us in this episode of Underneath the Clothes. Through all of the darkness, struggle, and failure, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you can relate to the things that Amy has shared with us, we'd love to challenge you to reach out, take care of yourself and engulf yourself in love from mentors and coaches that only want to see you do well.

Chelsea states in her introduction:

Today’s episode is the 2nd part, of a 4 part series, where I'm joined by the very open and honest Amy Hoback as she shares with us a recent failure that she really struggled with and almost took her out. We discuss personal development and the key role it played in helping her to overcome this failure. Join us as we have a very raw discussion on failure.

If you got something from this episode, I ask that you please share it with a friend or two. Let’s start a movement where we talk about our failures and let’s get vulnerable with what’s really going on in our lives! Your quote of the week: Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
