Are your friends' anything like mine and no one ever makes plans for what to do for Halloween until the night before? Leaving absolutely no time for me to order that Disney princess costume from Amazon…(I purchased a Snow White costume a few years ago and that's usually my go-to Halloween outfit.)
Well, fear not! We’ve put together 5 Halloween ideas that you’ll be sure to love AND be able to wear after Halloween!
Whether you’ll be spending Halloween with your significant other, trick-or-treating with the little ones, out with the girls, or handing out candy at home, we’ve got the perfect look for you!
Sandy from Grease
This costume comes from one of the best movie moments in movie history….you know what I’m talking about. It’s when we see Sandy for the first time since her big makeover and they sing “You're the one that I want...Oo-oo-oo, honey” (go ahead a read that sentence without singing the song, I dare you!) This costume is a classic!
These black high-waisted stretch leather leggings had me channeling my inner Olivia Newton-John! Since it's always a little cooler on Halloween, I paired the leggings with this adorable black sweater with shoulder cutouts. Oh, and you can’t forget the signature red shoes. Add a bold red lip, candy cigarette, and Sandy’s signature big hair and you’re ready to step back into the 50’s.
This would also make a great costume to do with your significant other by having them wear all back and sport John Travolta’s signature hair swoop! Or get your girlfriends in on it and you’ve got yourself some pink ladies. Oh! And don’t forget Rizzo with a super sleek black pencil skirt!
Bring a little 70’s vibe to Halloween and channel your inner flower child. You can create this look with basic items that are very in style right now! A huge trend - straight from the 70’s - is the bell bottom jeans. These jeans are so comfy and pair great with these two-toned metallic booties.
You’ll really be a flower child with this stunning velvet off-the-shoulder floral print top. What really pulls this outfit together though is the psychedelic accessories, like this black headband and oversized sunglasses.
"...They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're altogether ooky, The Addams Family." Sorry I had to sing the theme song, its one of my favorites! You can’t have Halloween without Wednesday Addams...she’s fabulously creepy and so sarcastic!
To create this outfit you need a black dress and some black stockings and boots. Put your hair in Wednesday’s signature braids and then put on your most serious face…(Full disclosure...it took quite a few shots to get a picture where I wasn’t smiling...making a serious face is my kryptonite.)
Where’s Kacie….I mean Waldo! This look was inspired by one of everyone’s favorite childhood pastime...Where's Waldo books! This is still one of my favorite Halloween looks because it's so cute, simple and WARM! Let’s be real, we live in South Dakota and sometimes on Halloween we have snow..or..rain...or...sleet...or all of the above!
This costume will have you prepared for the cooler weather with this adorable long sleeve striped shirt, your favorite skinny jeans, boots, and a warm stocking cap! Oh and don’t forget Waldo’s signature glasses!
Oh deer...is this outfit Ah-dorable! This outfit will keep you warm in cool weather as these brown leggings are fleece lined and incredibly warm! We paired the leggings with our best selling "Alex" sweater. We absolutely love this taupe long sleeve lace-up v-neck chunky sweater!
Finish off the look with some adorable braided booties and a DIY headband of antlers made out of twigs and black elastic.
We created the deer face with some black eyeliner on the nose, brown lipstick for the lips, and a white highlighter for the nose and dots on the cheeks.
This would also be an adorable family costume! Dress the kids up in camouflage and you’ll have yourself some little hunters!
