Hi there, I’m Gabbie! I am 21 years old and I came to Sioux Falls after graduating from high school in 2016 to attend Augustana University. At Augie, I am on the track and field team where my main event is throwing javelin (go Vikings!). I grew up in a small town called Janesville, MN with my parents Marc and Becky and my older brother Zach. My brother is getting married in September and I am so excited to welcome my sister-in-law, Laura, to the family!
In my free time, you can usually find me on some adventure with my close friends or family. I have been to quite a few different places around the world and just this summer I visited Las Vegas, NV with my family for my birthday and recently got back from a trip to Texas for Laura’s bachelorette party. I love to travel and am always eager to hear about fun places or experiences to explore next.
My style is very laid back, or “Casually Classic". I love the fall because I can break out all of my oversized sweaters and cute booties! My favorite color is dark green and you can always catch me wearing layered outfits in neutral/earthy tones.
I am currently pursuing my degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education. I also work at Lifescape children’s residential. After graduating this coming Spring, I plan to attend grad school to fulfill my dream of working as an occupational therapist for children with differing abilities.
At Chelsea’s I really enjoy talking with everyone who comes in and helping them find something that makes them feel confident and beautiful, whether it’s for a special event or just something to treat yourself! Many of the pieces at Chelsea’s are versatile and I love having the opportunity to experiment with new styles. The team at Chelsea’s is also so inspiring and welcoming, and I am excited to be a part of it all.
A couple of fun facts about me: I spent a month studying abroad in Norway this past January! I also have a new puppy who keeps me on my toes. He is a blue heeler mix named Shiloh who is super friendly and loves to chew on everything (especially things he’s not supposed to). But who can resist that face!
